I have been a professional artist for over 30 years, and I seek inspiration in the beautiful countryside and parklands of Leicestershire and Derbyshire. I often take out my sketchpad and camera in the hope of capturing those special moments of the local wildlife in its natural habitat - the hare bounding across the scrubland; the stag's steady watch before bolting for cover.
Although this subject matter is quite traditional, the composition of my paintings gives them a very contemporary feel. Many of my pieces are now available from my studio as canvas prints and mounted fine art prints (giclée) as well as greetings cards.
My studio is at the Ferrers Centre for Arts & Crafts on the Staunton Harold Country estate, where I can be found most days transforming my ideas and sketches into full-sized canvases. Visitors are most welcome.
